![]() I still think maybe he belongs to someone), but I was so happy to see them. Within this past week, I've seen 3 cats I haven't seen in over a month! One looked a little skinnier (but not skinny, he's a chonker lol. I was afraid she'd never get back to the way she was, but I think she's making progress again.Īlso, for all of you who worry about cats you don't see often, I have to tell you that there are a few cats I used to see a lot, but now I hardly ever see them. I hate feeding them at night, but since my hateful neighbor likes to complain about me as often as possible, going out at night has been the only way to not be seen as much. I also have to feed at night which makes it harder to see them. That's just a guess, but I rarely see her kittens. ![]() She also doesn't stay as long, but I'm guessing that maybe she's waiting to see me with food, then waiting till I leave so she can get her kittens to come out and eat. She's run over to me like she used to, but she isn't getting quite as close. Over the past 5 days I've seen her 4 times. She wasn't coming when I called her even though I could see her and she could see me. When she was coming out more often, she was hiding when she'd see me. After the roofers were gone, she didn't seem to be coming out much, but she was eating the food that I and my neighbor left for her. While the roofers were on her building, I didn't see her, but I saw her kittens in the crawl space. Pretty sure some teenage girls caught that one (neighbor saw them trying). 1 disappeared right before the movers got to the building she lives in/by. She had 4 young kittens at the time they came through. Unfortunately, with Mory, that caused a set back. Well, the complex had all the buildings reroofed and the whole process disrupted all of the cats, but most went back to normal as the roofers would move away from them to the next building. She has been periodically taking some treats from my hand, which is more than some others that I actually think like me will do.Ī smaller little happy thing is that another cat I feed (I call her Mory) was super skittish for a long time and she had made a lot of progress- coming to me when I call her, waiting on me, running ahead of me but looking back to make sure I was following, meowing at me, getting close but rubbing up against things near me (not me). She looked back over her shoulder then proceeded to eat. About 4-5 nights ago, she rubbed against my leg for the first time ever! Then last night, she rubbed against my leg 4 TIMES! I bent down and gave her a little swipe along her back to her tail. I've thought twice that I heard her meow, but I couldn't say it was specifically her for sure. I'm starting to wonder if she can meow at all lol. She used to hiss at me all the time, but it's gradually decreased. She stays around but I swear she hates me. A cat I call Allie has live around my building for over 4 years. I'm ELATED! I had temporarily put my traps into storage but I'm going tomorrow to get them out and see if I can't catch all three! he was about 10 feet from my front door! His little kitten friends were about 20 feet away. I thought I saw him for a split second last night, but I wasn't sure. I noticed the other day that their Mom looks pregnant again, so I guess she's kind of turned them loose. Roughly a week ago, they started coming to the parking area for my building, hiding in the bushes and under cars (which I LOATHE) and they meow at me from a distance. ![]() I've been seeing them without their Mom a lot over the past 2 weeks. The kittens with him belong to a cat that I feed that lives by another building close by. The GOOD NEWS is I saw him a couple nights ago with another kitten approximately his age! The kitten he was with is white with black spots and has a sibling that tags along that's a tuxedo. Thank you all for your comments and suggestions! I will definitely be better prepared next time! I have a couple carabineers and some zip ties and some 4圆 tarps.
